Senior Test Engineer

Join us as the Senior Test Engineer, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Ascom products. You’ll be responsible for designing and executing both manual and automated tests, working closely with developers and project teams to ensure that all products meet the required specifications and regulatory standards. As part of your role, you’ll lead smaller testing projects, identify and report defects, and continuously improve testing processes. Additionally, you’ll provide training, coaching, and support to other test engineers while maintaining compliance with industry regulations, including ISO standards.

Your Contributions:

• Engage in early stages of the engineering design process to shape test strategies.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Lead smaller testing projects and provide guidance to test engineers.
• Collaborate with test leads to assess automation needs, plan efforts, and select tools.
• Conduct integration and verification tasks for Ascom products and systems.
• Work closely with developers and R&D teams to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Create and execute manual and automated test cases to validate software.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements in testing processes.
• Report defects in the defect tracking system and provide detailed progress updates.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in a similar position.
• Android/mobile experience
• Strong experience in agile development and fast-paced environments.
• ISTQB certification or similar in software testing.
• Proven experience testing IT and healthcare products in regulated environments.
• Strong technical and IT skills, with knowledge of relevant Ascom technologies.
• Expertise in testing methods, quality control, and medical device regulations.
• Deep understanding of Ascom's product portfolio and testing processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
